It is very effective on selling the product and raising the company’s image. Company “Shany” is a one of companies using this marketing strategy. They turn famous animation character such as 도라에몽 and Keroro to account selling their products, so they gain popularity to various age groups.
And their set a story that it is a bread that the famous character really want to eat. In addition, they decided the bread’s name Dorayaky that is same one with bread the character really love in the animation. A removable sticker come out the same company also have an enthusiastic reaction of consumer.
Thinking about “what does the character want to eat?” make them start this marketing strategy. And they plan making more products related with this character.
The other company using this marketing strategy is Hete beverage. They have used character name Cute. Specially, they produce their product’s ad with a 3D animation using the character. So that company’s revenue increased.
They also attempt that case of their beverage named “Hello, padas!” is produced as pandas shape.
Like this cases, character marketing placed one of the attractive marketing strategy. This fact pull ours coat another fact that it is important to do public activities.
From the many successful marketing cases, I learn that the marketing could success if its product joint with a positive thing like a famous character, sports, funny story, and so on. But if marketer concludes a snap judgment, the strategy will fail.
Marketer assures their company’s the sale. Idea of marketer commands the company or a product’s life and death. So, marketer has to think about positive things that help their product’s image making and than joint this to a product. And they have to grasp the general public prefers. So, I think that marketer should be creative, and have originality of ideas.
I want to be a capable woman marketer. Therefore, I should think more creative, read more books, and say a cleverer thing.
